Briggs and Stratton 30664 Generator Feature
Power Delivery and Engine
Briggs and Stratton 30664 portable Generator is known for its power output. The normal power you get from this generator is 8000 watts and the power surge rises up to 10000 watts. With this many watts of power, you can easily light up your home or even your job site (for example: a construction site) where crucial equipment may need an alternative source of power. The generator runs with a 420CC OHV engine. It has 21 ft-lbs. torque. In RPM the engine clocks at 3600. Although it is an electric start generator, it has the alternatives where you can use the recoil rope and even a battery to run the unit.
The Cable Ports
The control panel of the generator is super simple with multiple receptacles for managing power output smoothly. The power outlets are designed in such a way that they will stay protected even in harsh weather conditions. The AC output is available for both 120V and 240V respectively. Briggs and Stratton 30664 has 2 duplex outlets of 3 Prong NEMA Outlets. Per duplex outlet is able to supply 20Amps of power. Out of the two sets, one is located at the top of the generator and another one at the bottom.
Fuel Type, Runtime and Noise
These three things are the important parts of the generator. Briggs and Stratton 30664 utilizes unleaded gasoline. The machine has 7 gallon fuel tank. The generator is cable of running for 8 to 9 hours with 50% load on a full tank. For me, it is reasonable taking into account the amount of power it delivers. Unfortunately, the manufacturers didn’t indicate the actual noise level for the generator. But from practical experience, I would like to mention that this generator is one of the loud generators in the market if not the loudest.
